Description

Maritime domain awareness pertains to security, safety, economy, environment, exploration and research. Evolving technologies in mapping, tracking and visualization provide many essential tools leading to effective understanding. The Maritime Alliance is pleased to partner with sponsor Esri to present one-day symposium on the importance gathering such information and the needs and challenges unique to different environments.

Organizations expected to attend and participate include US Navy METOC (meteorological and oceanographic information office), Installations and Third Fleet; US Coast Guard; Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and San Diego; DHS; Marine Exchange of Southern California; Scripps Institution of Oceanography; SDSU VizLab; SPAWAR; first responder agencies; and private industry.
